Uh, yeah it can, and yeah it does.
They would both be happy if that is the case.

Repeat of Foot Locker Nationals a couple of years back.
Ritz 1st
Hall 3rd
Could be true. But in a few years, Hall will probably eat Ritz's lunch on the track. Hall has much, much more speed. He ran 1:51, easily, with negative splits in HS, while not concentrating on the 800. Ritz didn't have, and won't have, that kind of speed. Hall has more potential on the track, and the track is the place runners need to succeed to gain attention in this country.
i really hope he comes through (hall). while i can't see anyone taking down ritzenhein, i think Hall can be up for a top 5 performance.
You have a true point ladeda. Hopefully he will stay consistent like he has this year.
I changed my mind. I think Hall will totally win. Go Ryan!!!
Hall could maybe get into the 49s. In high school he was a solid 50.5 runner, but asking much more than 49s is pushing it. Which is fine for a 5000m runner.
Dinkins, and Ritzenhein has always been consistent, thats why i think most are making him the favorite. Go HALL!!!
it would have been something if webb had stuck it out at michigan and 3 years after footlocker, the same three were duking it out...
Hall is not that strong. He only was able to put up a 1 1/2 minute lead on "thedisease" at regionals. Ritz could have put more than 2 minutes up on "thedisease". So I am guessing Hall will make the top ten but not crack the top five.
ohoh Disease, looks like you got a fan from Riveride.
Don't mess with Riverside wrote:

If you have beef with me, email me. Don't be a pussy on here running your mouth.
To dont mess with riverside, why so harsh man?
True that.
NCAA D1: Dathan Ritzenhein (Colorado)
NCAA D2: Alfred Rugema (Abilene Christian)
NCAA D3: Ryan Kleimenhagen (Wisconsin Platteville)
NAIA: Mike Atwood (Biola)
My national predictions for all four meets.

Well, Hall might win if they raced 800 meters. Guess what though, Ritz won't run another 800 meter race the rest of his life. Hall might be able to someday nip Ritz at the line in a 3000, but anything higher (which will be Ritz' specialty) and Ritz wins, and by a lot too. He's going to run 12:50 someday or maybe even faster.
I am more interested in how Ryan and Ritz will be in world competition. These talent young runners have not faced the great African runners. That is a whole new world.
faster than 12:50? i don't think ritz has the necessary raw speed to go that fast. look at the list of guys who have broken 12:50 and check out their mile pr's. i think ritz will eventually find the marathon. there's where it seems likely he'll do the most damage.
flagpole,
he's not going to run 12-anything unless he races 800m and gets his PR down.
