Is taking a Ice Bath the night before a Half Marathon a good idea? will it loosen up the legs? if tight or a little achy?
Thanks,

I wouldn't recommend it, especially if you haven't been taking ice baths consistently (or at all).
An icebath is DEFINITELY worth your time.. and not in any way shape or form going to hurt you.
I do them 3-4 times a week, and feel a TON better the next day.
When i was in college and didn't do them as frequent, i'd always throw one inbetween back to back race days (ie: doubling steeple/5k) and it would always be worth it.
good luck in your race :)
Ice bath = Blue balls, no nookie, shrinky dicky, you white cracker.
I would say not to do it the night before, but do it after the half.

never say never.
being that it is just before a race, you have to make sure to ice right...
go no colder that 55 degrees, 15 min max
I know that a lot of people act like it has to be colder.. but that kills cells.
Forget the macho bs and make sure to keep it smart.
