So I'm sure there have been threads on this but I'd like some personalized advice. Here is my situation. I just got diagnosed with mono which I have probably had for a little over a week. I don't have very severe symptons just a lot of fatigue, some chills, and sweating. My state meet is this Saturday. I'm the top seed in the mile and two mile, but there are very good guys in both who will be tough to beat. I ran those seed times while starting to feel the fatigue at sectionals. I won XC state and have done a couple other things that would "secure my legacy" so to speak. I would only run the two mile if I run at all. I'm also a senior and hope to contribute to my top 7 in college next year where we have a window of oppurtunity to do well. Do I run and postpone my recovery? Do I just start thinking about next year and take the pressure off? Thought, experiences, comments, concerns, criticism are all appreciated.
