Let's face it, if Jason Lunn ever made the Oly team, it's not to win Gold at Beijing, rather to just be happy he made a team and "enjoy" the experience. I would be happy for him...BUT, aren't we better served to have someone younger like Lukezic or the like to get that chance instead (good experience for future champ races)?
I am tired of hearing about these old timers who haven't done anything on the international scene. I want new blood out there, trying where these old timers failed (no disrespect to them).
An example:
Who would you rather have in teh 10k oly team:
Alan Culpepper or Scott Bauhs? Scott is on the upswing, Alan is on a downswing..way down.
Meb or Rupp?
Lunn or Manzano?
Old Timers, I love you guys for being brave and being there for the US when we needed you, BUT, now is the time for the young guns to shine, please don't impede their progress.
