just go for a ride, feel it out, if it slows down your running you need to pull it back.....
like on saturdays, run in the morning and go for 1-2 hour bike
its great cross training and isn't hard on the joints so it shouldn't slow you down
Ride in a lower gear so that your spinning the pedals fairly quickly. If you ride in a higher gear, you'll basically be doing a strength workout and your quads will build up in places that won't help at all for running. Getting in a low gear and spinning fast allows you to get a better aerobic type workout. I sometimes cross train on a bike and I'll actually do tempo workouts with my club while they run and I'll just downshift until I'm going the same pace as them at tempo effort.

Running is actually a natural form of movement for the human body. Whereas cycling is not. Now cycling is good excercise in itself, so I am not critizing cycling now.
BUT when you are fit, running is not hard on the joints, unless you run downhill very hard.
The best excercise for runners is running.
