Have any of you ever run the best race of your life in a slowly-paced championship event? Like you beat a lot of good runners and scored critical points for your team at conferences or nationals, but it just happened to be in a slow race?
I'm frustrated because I trained all year for this race and got a place I was really happy with, but my PR is still as crappy as it always was. I like the idea of peaking for a race rather than a time-trial, but the problem is that nobody except for people who saw that particular race really knows how good it was.
