I'd been pretty sick earlier this week--I mean, fever, chills, coughing like crazy, the whole nine yards. I'm feeling better now, no chills or that bone-tired fatigue, but still coughing. I have a half-marathon this Sunday, and was wondering if this flu or whatever I had is going to affect my racing. I've heard others say that with the flu, it can linger and sap your energy for weeks. Is it still possible to run my previous PR of 1:19? Any stories of racing well after being sick (for my confidence)?
