From 20 seconds in front of her per mile. Gallagher ran with Deena through 5 miles. Perfect plan.
I wondered how long it would take the McMillan basher to resurface after Boston...what took so long?
What purpose do you serve? Have you ever asked yourself that? You are a scurge on the face of running, a sport that has a tough enough time getting recognition and progressing without the likes of you, eating our young.
Go back under your rock.
What happened to Mike Smith? Is he no longer with the group?

I agree with fairness. If we are not going to judge him on Olympic Trials performances, then what?
This is my first time posting on this thread but have been paying attention to the posts here and would like to put in my two-cents for the little that they are worth.
I feel that the McMillan guys and girls are all good athletes and from the ones I have met nice people as well. I do not think they deserve to get berated the way that they have. They are a young group with plenty of time to improve. Moving to a new training program takes time and they are unfairly being criticized too strongly...there is still plenty of time for them to get on track.
I do think that it is good for the sport however to have outlets like Letsrun message boards to discuss the success of these or failures of groups such as McMillan Elite, Indiana Elite, Hansons, etc...You know you have made it when you get slammed on Letsrun...It is good that people care enough about these groups to criticize or applaud them...bad publicity is good publicity...

Who says he, or anyone for that matter, needs to be judged by the likes of you? If you are going to rip people, come out in the open so we can judge you and your credibility. Then we can weigh it appropriately.
Didn't Wejo note that the scourge amongst us is one particular scourge hiding behind many psuedonyms?
One bad apple....
McMillan is fine - it takes years of work to prove results.

What is a "scurge"? Were you trying to use the word "scourge"? hahahaha

Yes, that is the word I was looking for. hahahahaha
Why don't we drop this thread about McMillan and go jump on Wejo and his crumby spell checker? There you go...sick 'em Fido! hahahaha lol I kill myself!
McMillan Elite sucks

I was under the distinct impression that McMillan Elite were pretty damn good, given the fact they were good runners before goijng there, are now basically full time athletes, living at altitude (flagstaff), kit sponsorship etc. howevere from looking at their results...well to be blunt they aren't very good!
Joran horn, a recent 3.50 in a 1500, some other guy did 8.13 3k, Lemoncello had a pretty poor UK trials for the world cross and then an even poorer world cross event.
What the hell is going on there for them to be running so bad, are they just not great athletes and just decent runners who will never make it to world class standards as Greg McMillan has everyone believe. I thought lemoncello in particular would be running a hell of a lot better than this, even if he did have a little virus priot to world cross.
To some extent i kind of think the same about Indiana Elite and in particular Scott Overall and couple of others, don't seem to be running as well as they should be given all they do is live like full time athletes!![/quote]
Team Indiana Elite have had great results already.
They cant be compared here.
Overall IN PARTICULAR knocked 10 seconds off his p.r running 13.28.
Chapman's coaching cant really be called into question. Look at the state of I.U's team now he isn't there. Overall, Haas and Fife big early season p.r's.
Great Coach

It is just one pathetic loser with a hard-on for Greg McMillan, so not so good.

I have known Greg for some time now and will gladly vouch for his motives, ethics, morals, values...you name it. Greg is in it for one reason only...develop talent through his system. Give his program time.

Hey Steven, how come your organization photoshopped the sponsor logo from the singlet of winner of your marathon race?
McMillanElite Announces Expanded Athlete Benefits for 2008 and 2009
Flagstaff - May 12, 2008 - Starting its second year, McMillanElite announces expanded benefits for athletes for 2008 and 2009. adidas – the team’s primary sponsor, has increased its commitment and now provides free housing in addition to an equipment and race travel sponsorship. Additionally, McMillanElite athletes now receive a health insurance subsidy, quarterly blood testing, physiological monitoring, access to physical therapy and medical support as well as a bi-weekly massage subsidy, all while living and training in the high-altitude training Mecca of Flagstaff, Arizona.
“Our goal has been to provide an opportunity for emerging elite athletes to ‘Go for it’,” says coach Greg McMillan. “With the support of adidas and our other generous sponsors, athletes have all they need to focus solely on being the best runners they can be. We look forward to welcoming new athletes as their collegiate eligibility is completed and continuing the resurgence of U.S. distance running.”
McMillanElite team member and Olympic Trials qualifier, Brett Gotcher, says, “Not being a contract-level athlete right out of college, I worried that I wouldn't be able to maintain a ‘running lifestyle’ while still having to pay the bills. McMillanElite’s benefits are more than I could have asked for and will be instrumental in bridging the gap to becoming a full-time professional athlete.”
As mentioned by Danny Lopez, Sports Marketing Manager for adidas US Running, “adidas has long been committed to helping athletes reach their goals. The McMillanElite team is just another prime example. Our investment into this team is an investment in the future of American distance running. Highly successful Team programs have been popping up around the country for a while now. We have wanted to get involved for some time, but have been waiting for the perfect opportunity. The amazing work Greg is doing in Flagstaff has provided us that opportunity. We are confident the future of this team will be very bright indeed.”
