Okay boys, take your hand off your crank and get a serious view of life. Title IX had nothing, absolutely nothing to do with this. Young AD's started using the MAC as a stepping stone to bigger AD jobs. Many have done just that. How do the mid-major AD's get noticed???? Pour money into football. Ball State's AD wanted to do some renovations on the football stadium. Where did the money come from......men's track. Ohio U's AD wanted to get a name for himself. How did he do it? He went out and hired the former football coach from Nebraska, paid him twice as much as the previous guy, poured freaking money into new locker rooms, conference rooms, etc. Just freaking pissed money away for football. And what happened. The worthless piece of crap AD just got the AD job at the University of Miami. Oh yea, along the way he dumped men's track to pay for football. You all need to stop blaming something that had nothing to do with it and start attacking the real problem. AD's who only care about making a name for themselves and the way they think that can happen is dump loads of money into football. And that ain't got nothing to do with Title IX. Leave women's sports alone.
Yes, the men's MAC has gone to the shitter. A once proud conference has been destroyed by the AD's at Ball sTate, Toledo,Western Michigan, Ohio University, Bowling Green.
