Just ran the Napa Marathon today with my Garmin. My Garmin says the couse is only 25.44 miles. Will the times stand? What about those who qualified for the trials? I spoke with 2 others who also showed short on their garmin.

First off, you should be disqualified for racing with an aid. Secondly, if you are talking about Olympic Trials, you must mean the women. Garmins do not count towards course certification. Throw your's in the garbage.
Garmin's are NOT 100% accurate.
In this case about 97% accurate.
You all just got trolled really, really hard.
"My Garmin says ..."
Sheez!
Ever wonder why race courses are not certified with a Garmin?
Don't know about Garmin. But, how about strong, strong wind at a runners back the whole way on a point to point course. Can a marathon be wind aided and thus disallowed for the Oly Trials? Napa runs North to South and this year there was strong wind from the North?
My Garmin showed it as slightly long (26.42 miles). I guess there is only one way to resolve this. I'll see you in Calistoga tomorrow at 7AM and we'll run the course again.
Only if they will subtract time from marathons run into a headwind can a tailwind disallow a performance.

Think about this for another ten seconds and let me know if it still sounds like a reasonable thing to say.
