One way or another, it always comes back to this match up. Now, we will here it at the Superbowl. It is well documented that most Yankee fans are also NY Giant Fans, and Many Redsox fansa re also Patriot fans.
As a Red Sox fan, I can say that I am NOT a Patriots fan. Many of them were not around 10-15 years ago, and are the "fair weather fans" like many of the Yankee bandwagon fans we see so often. So, I hope the NY Giants win, and help declare the Patriots season as a failure in my eyes.
I am a Red Sox, have been all my life. I have found that the Pat's fans are more of the blue collar type, borderline illiterate in many cases.\

Through a tie breaking conspiracy, the Cleveland Browns were kept out of the playoffs as everyone knew they would go on to win the Superbowl. After the cavs win the NBA title this year, the Indians will beat the Sox and Yankees on their way to a world series win over the St. Louis Cardinals.

True. That would make them 18-1, with the first 16-0 regular season, beating pretty much each of the top teams along the way (Indy, Dallas, Giants, SD (x2), Jax, Pittsburgh), as well as a trip to the Super Bowl.

If you dont win the championship - it is a failure. Bottom line.
Who cares who they beat in the regular season. Who cares who they beat in the playoffs. They have to win this game, or it is all for naught.

Seattle holds the record for most wins in a regular season in Baseball, but no world series title that year. Does anyone talk about how good they were that season? No, because they did not win it all. If the Pat's fail to win the Superbowl, the season is a failure.

Well, sure, it's a failure of sorts if any team doesn't win the SB. But with the Pats it's definately less of a failure versus other teams given what they've accomplished along the way. If you had given me these two options before the season; 1) the Pats go 16-0, the team sets the all-time scoring record, Brady sets the all-time passing TD record, Moss would set the all-time receiving TD record and that they go to the Super Bowl but lose, or 2) roll the dice and see what happens, I would take option #1 any day. Anyone who would say their season has been a "failure" is just grasping at straws to try to put down the team somehow.

As much as I like the Red Sox and talking about them there's this little game coming up called the Super Bowl with our Pats going for an unprecedented perfect season that I'd like to stay focused on.
