It's no secret that i am not a fan of VT. I would have liked to see them play georgia or USC and gotten that ass whooping hawaii and illinois recieved. they are comparable to those two teams.

VT would beat Georgia. But not USC.

They played horribly against Kansas. Those two quarterbacks are way overrated.

Pretty sure there's no way VT beats Georgia. That game would probably look very similar to when they played each other in a bowl last year. That didn't go too well for VT.

holy crap that win felt good! Finally get to shove it in all the asshole east coast, sec loving idiots i have to go to school with(along with the Arkansas and Florida losses its been a great bowl season)! and to anybody that still denies KU being a top 5 team in the country (Sagarin), own up, be a man, and admit you made a mistake and severely underrated one of the best teams in the country! people are right that before they played missouri they had not played a really good team, but they had been playing, and dominating, the big 12 north, one half of a very strong conference! and to anybody that hasn't noticed, the big 12 north had a winning record(with iowa state) against the OU, and Texas led south!

Gosh, if only they had played against Mizzou like they had every other week of the year. . .

I severely underrated one of the best teams in the country, a team that has no other significant win besides a three-point victory over a team from one of the weakest of the six major conferences? And, the Big 12 North is stout? Dude, I'm a CU fan through and through, but even I'm not that dumb. KU is a top ten team, but not a top five team. Hell, they finished #3 in the Big 12 and, frankly, Texas could beat them.

Keep in mind, I never said KU would lose to Virginia Tech. But, frankly, I though that was the most pathetic BCS matchup of all in terms of both parts of the pairing, which is why I have NEVER included them, either of them, in the conversation as to who the final four should be. LSU just unloaded on Va. Tech, a team who barely beat BC, and we saw how mighty BC looked against a barely mentionable Michigan State squad.

I think a lot of yall are forgetting the 42-7 (or something close to that) beat down that LSU gave to VT earlier in the season. VT got to where they were because of a piss poor excuse of a conference. KU played sub-par and still beat them. Put VT in the Big 12 or SEC and see how they fare

The Texas team that showed up all season would not beat Kansas. Hell they barely beat Ok State and got their asses whipped by KSU at home. Now the Texas team that showed up for the Holiday bowl, well they would have a chance agaisnt Kansas. You're bias to CU is showing through and you can't stand that KU will dominate CU for the forseeable future.

My bias to CU? What the? I have no reason to root against any Big 12 North team, except for maybe Nebraska. KU is hardly a CU rival. And have I not been touting MU on these threads all year? Are they not a CU Big 12 foe? I'm just realistic. I saw CU and KU play, and of all the ranked opponents CU played this year, KU was the WEAKEST. And I am talking about in all phases of the game. I'm not merely looking at a scoreboard. KU finished #3 in the Big 12. They were manhandled by Missouri, even if the socreboard only shows an 8-point victory. They are not a top 5 team in the country. Good for them for beating a solid, but not great ACC team by a field goal. I rooted for them to win. However, Texas would beat them whether you are willing to face the music or not. One decent victory all year does not make a team great. Hawaii went 12-1 too you know.

So by saying Hawaii went 12-1 you are essentially saying that the Big 12 is no stronger than the WAC? So with that thinking how do you rate Ohio State? Their strength of schedule was on par with KU.

Dude, you just love to put erroneous words in my mouth don't you, first with telling everyone I said CU would beat KU (which I never did) and now this. I'm obviously making a point about Hawaii. Go look at any strength of schedule ratings. I believe Sagarin is the best, but they all tell the same story. KU played the absolute weakest schedule of the top ten and the second weakest of the top 20 behind Hawaii. Hawaii's SOS was way down there, one of the weakest in the country actually, and obviously there's no way anyone with a straight face would say the Big 12 is on par with the WAC. Incidentally, OSU played the second weakest schedule of the top ten, and, yes, I do think there are a lot of similarities between KU And OSU, the lone difference being that KU can now claim a victory over a top 20 team, which OSU cannot. Perhaps those two should have paired off.

I don't know why you have such an axe to grind with me, simply because I, as a fan of the Big 12 no less, believe that KU is good but not great. I'm just calling it as I see it, much as I did when I warned you that KU was vastly overrated before the game with MU and MU would win, which they did. KU is a top ten team, but not a top five. They are #4 in the Big 12 as far as I'm concerned, but they never had to play OU or UT now did they? They played one legit team all year prior to bowl season, and they lost.

I would remember this line. KU fans have had one good season up from 6-6 last year. Now don't go and say stupid things like this. It is very tough to win in Boulder if for nothing else that the altitude gets you in the 4th quarter. I hate CU (and KU for that matter) but I just don't see KU dominating them unless you are referring to basketball.

Ku football will lose at least 4 games next year and you can take that to the bank.

This is correct. CU's recruiting class is the best it's been in a decade. They have gotten a commitment from one of the very best RBs in the country out of California, a cousin of one of their top freshman WRs. Give the program two years. If Hawkins can recruit and build Boise State to greatness, he can do it anywhere. Mangino will be gone from KU fairly soon, and the decline will happen.

But there's no reason to be hatin' on KU. They had a fine season. They won a BCS bowl. And for that they should be grateful, because they stole that spot from MU by virtue of losing to MU and not having to play a conference championship, which is just one more reason the BCS is such a sham. No reason to be talking smack now because you won a bowl that you never should have been in to begin with over a team from arguably the weakest of the six major conferences who gave LSU one of their easiest victories this season.
