VT didn't have a particularly bad or unexpected game yesterday, they had exactly the type of game that anyone could have predicted they'd have, against almost any other top team. I put almost all the blame on Stinespring.
If our offense had been even half as effective as our defense, we would have won the game. For just a few minutes, we were almost unstoppable running Ore down the field, and then somehow Stinespring must think- oh look, we've found something that's working, we must change it immediately. Almost every single damn game! He doesn't run down the clock when he needs to. He ignores the things that Glennon and Tyrod are good at and lets their weaknesses be exploited. Our defense and special teams seem to score more than our offense. And we can't get rid of him! As long as we're winning, he won't get fired, and even if we start losing, Beamer will hold on to him until they're both being fired together.
We may not be the #1 or #2 team in the country, but even those who say we're overrated must admit that we're in the top 10. And any other top 10 team could get a better offensive coordinator than we have. We're not even asking for great, just someone who isn't a total screw up.
