hi elaine

The reason the times are slower is because the 3k is cross country and often very tough courses with lots of hills and sometimes even with stream crossings like at the USXC course in Boulder.
I did it!

Women's modern pentathlon is like an automatic gold medal for Britain. We don't have many, but I'm confident here.
hey I would be interested for sure. Please email me with some more information. Thanks
it is so funny to me that he said "if you can run an 8:30 3k and swim a 2:20 200m freestyle". i can do that in swimming, but i'm only about 8:45 in running, and i'm a runner. not even remotely close to being equal

okay i can handle those 2, but i am not sure about the shooting, as my lawyer says because of my felony i am not supposed to have a gun (at least not in the usa) other than that i will try.
i am a national champion (team) in biathlon and i can doggy paddle the 200m in 4:03.56. if you're interested please email pooface@hotmail.com thx

No this is not the reason, the reason is that the athletes are no good. I watched the pentathlon world champs before when they were at Millfield School in Somerset, England. Some of the women had trouble completing a 3k.
The sport is basically the preserve of people posh enough to grow up riding a horse because their parents bought them one. Other than that, if you're a club level runner and swimmer, and can devote enough time to learning to fence and shoot, you can make the olympics.
That said, I couldn't swim 200m if I had all day.
what is your run and swim time?
how old are you
