I go to sleep at 2-5 every night anyway so all nighters are not a problem for me. For intance, right now it is 4:21am and I'm not that tired. But for the sake of my training, I'll take an early night.
Oh yeah baby!!! WOhoo coffee and finals! politics...calculus...chemistry....writing. Political science is tommorow. Have not been too class about 25% of the time. It won't be pretty.
I. Hate. All-nighters.
i usually go to sleep really early so if i have to pull an all nighter i take 3 hour nap and wake up early to do everything.
All-Nighters some of the best nights of college. Write a paper from 8pm-6am. Then get some food with a hot girl.
so is it bad to run on no sleep?
some of my best workouts are off of like 2 hours of it.
I already had a final project in my media planning class due Monday. It was a nightmare. I didn't sleep all weekend. Just a lot of coffee and energy drinks. The rest of my tests/projects shouldn't be too bad though. I've had semesters that were much worse in the past.
All nighters are OK for projects but not OK for studying for tests. You need to be sharp on test day.

Agree 100%. I can pull an all nighter to write a paper (although I'm not very efficient in doing so), but no way would I stay up all night to study. I do a lot better on tests with an extra hour of sleep over an extra two hours of studying.
r u a college freshman who has also wanted to break 15?
Ohhhh yeah. First semester of my PhD coming to an end, with exams on Thursday, Friday, Monday. Then it's right to the liquor store.
Back in the day, I pulled all-nighters for tests all the time. Nothing more satisfying then staying up all night and then getting an A on the test.
Some of my fondest college memories were staying up late studying.
Anyone ever write something at like 4am and then when proofreading it thought, " this is complete crap?" Or fall asleep at the computer while writing a term paper?
Enjoy those college years.
had an all nighter monday night...tuesdays practice sucked..especially since i slept through lunch tuesday
me stay up late nights to win dancing with the stars
I'm gonna be pulling some all nighters next week... my college library is open 24hrs...gonna hide under the computer desk with books and sweets.

how about getting your shit done on time and not having to stay up all night? then is the A satisfying? you should have tried it to find out.
if you people think it's fun to stay up all night, knock yourselves out. or you could stop playing video games and watching TV/movies all semester, and be ready for finals.
i went to a top school, majored in engineering, and ran for a good d1 program. I worked late when necessary, but never once pulled an all-nighter in undergrad. still graduated near the top, and had a better than average social life. know why? i didn't fvck around all day like the bums who will end up with a 3.0 and a beer gut.
do what makes you happy, but don't think that staying up all night is healthy or will not affect your running. it's not and it will.
Judging by the way you write, you might want to reconsider whether it was a "top school."
Give him a break he probably does go to a top (100) engineering school.
I got to a top 10 (US news) engineering school and I can assure you...no one with a 3.0 is a bum.
