I'm racing a road mile three days before Christmas and haven't trained for it. I'm in decent 10k shape, but haven't run a quarter or 200m workout for a year. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I should run my race?
Suggestions OTHER than slow...
I know I'm screwed, but am curious as to what everyone else thinks. Do I go out conservatively and try to run negatively? Do I go balls out? Do I run even splits?
As a side note I have a decent amount of turnover but not a lot of sustainable speed. I'm more of a 5k and up guy.
