who gives. enjoy life, enjoy food. stop caring about 10lbs or not.
bj please give me a bj
I'm about what you are. I've kinda wanted to lose a few pounds, but I think it's best to lose it while you train. I need my calories to run, no way will I intentionally cut them. I don't think you need to lose weight per se, because you'll gain it back easily because your body will be used to having less calories. Your body will balance it out for you.
6' 160, 1:12 half, if I don't eat enough I feel lethargic, if I eat what I need to get my 110mi/wk in, I stay at 160. I am a better runner now then I was at 145 and I was easily injured at 145. Your body type dictates what your ideal running weight will be. I naturally carry more muscle than most runners, so 145 is about 2% body fat for me and unhealthy. If you are not muscular, lose the weight, if you have a bigger build, put in the miles and you will get faster.
I have a very muscular build for a runner and I find that I lose something if I get too light. I weight about 170 to 174 right now (at about 7 to 8% body fat) and if dip too much lower than that I feel lethargic and basically weak.
I do not really have a natural runner's body type but if I try and force my weight down to a "runners weight" my running does suffer.
Altight. Good to hear some other opinions.
It's not that I've been feeling bad on my runs, I've just been thinking about the issue out of interest.
I may as well just listen to what my body wants and try eating healthier foods.
