I feel bad a lot of the time as I am walking by, especially if I am dressed in whatever and they have on old raggedy clothes but I don't give out the money to them.
I know before I saw a guy holding a sign "I'll be honest, I just want a beer" At least he was, and it was successful too. I know I left the store with a case and a guy was begging, I almost did give him one and think maybe I should have but....yea, he doesn't need it (neither do I) but at least it was honest.
I don't because there are a lot of programs in place for them already that help out. Generalizing....there are many homeless that have mental impairments of some kind or are alcoholics....to me, money won't help them. Plus I reason to myself, I am going to be hugely in debt and already am more in debt than anyone begging (of that I am 95% sure), so why should I waste my money on them? Later in life, when things are different I very well could change my views...
As of now, I do not give money to the homeless beggars.
