I wouldn't move up Oh St and Indiana just yet. U of M didn't run their #1 who would have put them at 2nd place, or right about there - neck and neck with Minn.
OSU and Indiana were close in the scoring but only because the overall depth of the conference appears to be weak. It will be much much larger come regionals.
Notre Dame did look weak this weekend.
Agreed on Stanford, Louisville and OK St. Not sure about W&M an Princeton.
Moving Up: Virginia, Stanford, Minnesota and Louisville all had weekends better than their National Ranking would suggest.
Same: Princeton and W&M didn't have much work to do in their conferences. NC State was beaten, but they still ran OK. Colorado belongs in the top 5, maybe a spot higher with Kenyon running well. Best 1-2-3 in the country?
Moving Down: Michigan- I know I'll take heat, but you cannot assume Woods will be back.
Moving Out: Notre Dame, Alabama, Providence
1. Oregon
2. Northern Arizona
3. Colorado
4. UTEP
5. Iona
6. Wisconsin
7. Stanford
8. Oklahoma St.
9. Arkansas
10. Virginia
11. Louisville
12. California
13. NC State
14. Georgetown
15. Minnesota
Didn't Woods run and then DNF; if so, yea, he might be able to run and finish but not real promising, and they have to qualify at Regionals -- good luck in that regional. They do have a younger team than I realized and look to be good in coming years as well if they can fix their problem with losing guys to injury. When you are a little thin that is a very bad problem.
Wisconsin looked pretty good with their tight margin of less than 30 seconds and with uncertainty with Eagon substantially removed. Wisconsin's 3/4/5/6/7 and even 8 looked pretty good, with some rotation from the order that I thought that they would finish.
I did not think that Lacy would continue to be the number 3 guy, and if Miller is the #7 or 8 guy, they is really pretty good. Furthermore, 3/4/5/6/7/8 have a number of guys that are not just milers (important for NCAAs 10k) but steeple (Bethke), 3000 (Lacy, and impressive for a guy whose HS 3200 was like 9:26!), and Wagner. Wagner has had plantar F problems -- if he gets free to train then he could score at NCAAs.
I suspect that Wisconsin will move back up a bit.
People are talking about the Big Ten being weak, but they have been ranking pretty well in both the Midwest and Great Lakes. Even 7th place Penn State has an outside chance in their regional.
