whats next? Dixon performs absolutely GREAT against USC's defense to win by a touchdown +1.
16 of 25 for 157 and 76 rushing and a touchdown. will he make the pose??

I called this at the begining of the season.....ducks were highly underrated preseason, and USC was overrated just like EVERY YEAR!
i dont agree that USC is overrated every year, but i do agree the ducks were under the radar too far into the season. Lets just see how this weekend turns out and then make our predictions, as this is quite crucial. could oregon possibly be national champions in football?!
They aren't overrated every year. They've won national championships.
I wouldn't even say they were overrated when Texas beat them - Young just wanted it more.

Except that college football is the only sport in which being overrated actually wins you a title, provided you win your last game.
USC IS #1 AND THEY WILL WIN THE NATIONAL TITLE! FIGHT ON!
No one ever mentioned USC's BCS ranking in depth, which last weekend is as follows: 7th and 8th in human polls, 21st in computer polls. The computers were on to something
EXACTLY! USC is basically owned by ABC, and they are overranked every year.
LSU and the SEC are owned by the media and BCS voters. LSU is a pretty good team and about equal to USC.

Sagarin had them ranked lower than that. As usual, he was onto something. I still believe that team has major upside, but Sanchez is not the answer at QB. Booty is better, and it's a shame he got injured. Regardless, I still hope USC gets a shot at one of the the Big Ten or SEC's best at season's end.
Another saturday
Another BUCKEYE BEATDOWN!!!
We remember Troy getting fat on the buffet circuit and Teddy Ginn getting injured early in the beatdown we took from Florida. Doesn't have anything to do with this year.
See you in the championship game. (again)
Of course USC has been overrated the last couple years.
To all Ohio State University fans:
Please enjoy your road to the championship game. When you meet up with the Mighty SEC, you will cry once again. Which conference has more ranked teams than the SEC? Neither OSU or BC can withstand either of the following teams:
LSU
Florida
Auburn
Bama
SC
Tenn
SEC rules!
The SEC is overrated?
over one-third of the first round picks in the 2007 NFL draft were from the SEC

In the Pete Carroll era, they only won one BCS title and that one is in dispute because of all the illegal perks Reggie Bush got.

What the f*** does that have to do with their playing ability? Oh wait, NOTHING!

I think you're going to want USC's offensive line to get healthy again before they tangle with any of the serious defenses in the SEC. As for the big 10 "powers"...
You know, here's a mediocre USC team compared to years' past, a team beset by injuries at key positions, a team that lost to lowly Stanford and, therefore, pretty much sucks (right?), and yet.... they play on the road at the #5 team in the nation and are driving late in the game in enemy territory to send it to overtime. So what happens when they go in and beat an undefeated ASU aquad? Will they still suck? What happens if they finish third or fourth in the Pac-10 but still beat another major conference's #1 or #2? What then? USC may lose three or four games this year, but they will be able to beat anybody come bowl time, and if its Michigan they play, well, we will definitely know the outcome then.
As it is, Ohio State definitely deserves to be #1 by virtue of their record, and great defense matters, but I maintain that they are vulnerable. I have picked Oklahoma to beat OSU in the BCS championship, and I have to stay with the pick. Everyone in the SEC will have two losses at year end by virtue of the depth of their conference, so they will not make an appearance in the championship game this year.
Is Oregon really that good? honest question...
I contend that USC will NOT be able to beat "anybody" come bowl time unless they get their line/QB healthy- not sure if you think they need time to heal or just "gel". I think they need time to heal. I also think they will be in deep shit against ASU if not healthy, but we'll see.
As for your other questions, I'm not sure what you're getting at. If USC finishes 3rd or 4th in the pac10 it will mostly be because of the injuries that they have endured. If they are still feeling the effects of those injuries come bowl season, I DON'T think they can beat a top team from the SEC. If i'm wrong, then maybe that will speak some to the actual vs. perceived strength of the SEC.
I'm praying for LSU over OSU in a massacre, but think that your Oklahoma/OSU matchup is a real possibility.
