I just got my copy!!!!!!!!!!!!
I just got my copy!!!!!!!!!!!!
So did I. I'm so happy.
Towson Exile, did you ever go to a bar named Charles Village Pub? It's in Towson (obviously). I went there once 2 summers ago and the bouncers took my out of state driver's license because they thought it was fake and then made me call the police to get it back. I was 22, almost 23. I hate Towson because of that.
Sorry for being so off topic.
who did you guys order from?
Just posted it on another thread. . .
I got it right in front of me. Can't believe it. It arrived with the mail about an hour ago.
Cool
So how soon until we get a book report?
Got mine as well. Ordered it from www.breakawaybooks.com
got mine from there too. www.oncearunnermovie.com
Legit?
Please, I need to know.
YES i wouldn't joke about a thing as important as this!
how do I/you know?
well you don't have to believe me but its your loss dude.
I'm just saying, what makes this more believable than the other websites selling it two years ago?
Sorry if I'm a bit cynical, it just seems too good to be true.

how about the fact that people have actually received hard copies of the book?
Even though I used to work in publishing, I just don't get why the original "Once a Runner" isn't re-released, if there seems to be a demand for it. If the original publisher that owns the rights to it doesn't want to re-release it, why wouldn't they sell the rights to another publisher (like Breakaway Books) that would publish it.
I've only been to CVPs once (sort of). I'm not 21 yet and I don't have a fake and I figured it was 18 and up to get in, 21 to drink, so I went there with 2 friends, one of whom was 21. The guy looked at my liscense and said sorry it's 21 and up. I was disappointed because I really wanted to get in so my friend said to the bouncer, so I guess there isn't anything we can do to get around this. The people I know like CVPs. As for liking Towson itself, it's alright, but I've been here since I was 5.

I like how everyone's claiming they already have hard copies. The website says it doesn't ship out until early November.
Please explain.
i'm not going to research the reason for the early shipping, i'm just going to enjoy reading the book instead.
"Again to Carthage, the sequel to the cult running novel Once a Runner, is finally going to be published!
We have finished books in our warehouse. We will begin shipping them in early November 2007,
just after Runner's World publishes an excerpt from the book along with a profile of John L. Parker, Jr.
You can pre-order anytime, and we won't process your payment till the day your book ships."
This is whats listed on the website and they might have decided to just ship early, its only like a week or so.
since we don't know each other on this message board, there isn't a conspiracy. I ordered mine from breakaway books in early october. it came yesterday. if you want it earlier, order it from breakaway.
