It as an interesting series as far as MVP goes- very hard to pick just one guy on the Sox. Even though Okie gave up 2 homers the last 2 games it was his middle relief in game 2 that sealed the deal for Paps. That win pretty much demoralized the Rox, since it showed the range of the Sox Bullpen and Okie was unbelievable. Also, Ellsbury cranking key hits- especially in game 3 after Rox pulled to within a run- he gets up next inning and drives in the 1st of the next 3 runs. And Beckett? I think just his presence must have been demoralizing for the Rox. Even if they had won last night, after his dominance in game 1 you know they weren't eager to face him again. And of course Paps became as a big door closer as ever there was- talk about demoralizing. And even Varitek had major contributions, he figured big in the pickoff of Halliday in game 2, as well as driving in key runs when the Sox needed them.
But Lowell figure in a lot of key plays on D and at the plate, so he got it out of sheer volume of quality contribution. Although there were so many guys who had critical roles in bringing in all 4 wins, it was a pretty hard pick.
