I bought a 7 pairs of 900s a year ago on sale and I am currently on my last pair.
What current shoes would most lovers of 900s be happy with?

I'd actually say the Nike Zoom Marathoner is the closest with regard to the last and the midsole thickness.
NB902
The 902 is not even in the same league as the 900.
Yeah, the 902's are much better than the 900's ever were.
I think the 902's feel ok, not as good as the 900's, but a lot better than the 901's. My main problem is their looks, they are very ugly. I don't know why a company would amke a shoe that looks that way.
What do you all think of the Saucony fastwitch endurance? I've been looking for a replacement for the 902's also.
Finished my 2nd pair and ordered 2 more for the rest of the year and a marathon in Dec. I love my 902's!
How are the 902s compared to, say, DS Trainers. I haven't been able to wear DS Trainers for the last few years, didn't fit well. From reading the 15 word description in catalouges they seem similar, but I could be hopelessly off here.
I switched from DS Trainers to 902's and have been very happy. In addition, I've found the 902's to be much more durable than the DS Trainers.
Oh, and I like the looks. Orange looks fast.
I'd also like some opinions on the Fastwitch. If anyone could add some it would be great.
i get blisters from ds trainers and am now running happy in NB 790 trail racers, both on roads and trails. anyone have a comparison between the 790 and other NB models (900, 902, or otherwise) that are more road specific? seems as though the 90x's are heavier.
i've used the 790s for a trail 50K and trail marathon (as well as longer (and of course shorter) training runs), but next up is a road marathon and i'm wondering if there's something better for me out there.
why would any serious runner even consider a brand like NB when there are many real/true running brands out there?

Are you a runner or a fashion model. If you like the way a shoe feels when you run in them then that should be what you decide on. Not looks! I hope you are a girl.

I could see someone wanting to find a replacement for a shoe they discribed as feeling "ok" and looking "ugly" with possibly a shoe which feels great and isn't as ugly.
