is he being taken against his will? i'd never let someone wheel me away in a chair
Well, he's going to the OT apparently. What kind of odds are there that he won't even match his seed time from Chicago in NYC?

Lighten up, Francis.
I'd bet that all the guys who qualified in St. George will beat him.
She finished in 5:18:48 ! Maybe she should consider a bluetooth next time .
What an as*hole. Seriously. Are you jogging or RACING?

Hobbyjogawalking for over 5 hours sounds like a fun day to me.
Here's a story for you, I ran the NYCM in '05 and got past by some French guy talking on his cell phone at about mile 16. I ended up running a 2:35 and he beat me.

It's a shame, too, because I'd guess he was in shape to jog his qualifier at St. George.

I ran Paris in '05 and just before the 5k mark a guy next to me took out his mobile and reported in. And he apparently was an American, which makes it doubly odd.
I for one am gosh darn proud of her. She finished a marathon. Little is more impressive than that.
The temptation as a good runner is to turn up to a local tinpot 5k and win it while doing stupid things on the way round e.g
stop to tie a lace and let the person in 2nd catch you only to burn them off again
wear a stupid fancy dress outfit to lure your competitors into thinking your a plodder
have a slogan on the back of your vest saying "you'll never beat me"
go off real slow then run the last 3k in about 8.40 so that you pass loads of competitors at top speed including the leader.
run with the leader but keep putting surges in and let them catch you then surge away again.
Hilarious post!
don kardong wrote an article where he stopped at phone booths to call in then possibly did it again with a cell.
nothing beats dixon and the helmet cam though.

You obviously weren\'t running out there today. If he ran a 2:21 in the weather that Chicago got, he is capable of running a 2:15 tomorrow.
Something tells me he wouldn't run a 2:15 tomorrow.
