Does anyone else race in Mizuno's? The Idaten is being discontinued in Jan. I'm going to have to find a new flat. I race the 1/2 and marathon in them. Any suggestions??

The new Wave Ronin might be worth a try. It should be a little lighter than the Idaten. Otherwise, the new Saucony Type A 2 (a pure racer rather than a lightweight trainer) also looks promising.
Thanks..I'll check them both out. I am concerned about going any lighter then the Idaten. It's 7.10 ounces. I already think that might be the lightest i go for the marathon. I'm 5'6 115. Any thoughts???

I'd sell my left testicle to weigh 115 lbs! My normal weight is 150-155.
At those dimensions, you should be able to wear the lightest Asics and Mizuno racers during marathons. Mizuno has a new flat in Japan that weighs about 4.0 ounces.
If you need me to get you some Mizuno shoes in Japan (includin g the Idatens) please send me an email at MAYEROFF(at) yahoo.com
