great session idea skuj. i really like the 4min breaks surrounding each block, thereby allowing for some fast running without accumulating too much.
Ummm, there is no "fast" running in that workout.

last year one of ritzenhein's workouts before usa champs was a 2 x (5 x 1000m w/ 2:30 rest, then 8 x 120m sprints uphill), so there are some similar ideas going on here between your workout and this workout. this workout was done in preparation for the 5000m where he got 3rd place in 13:16.
Wow, that's almost as fast as Skuj predicted Running Dogg would run. Maybe that's what Skuj was thinking when he created this workout. If he copies one of Ritz' workouts, maybe he can get his guy to finally run that 13:15.
I'm the guy he told that too after I did 8x800 in 2:03average off 45sec rest. Then I raced 19:42. Skuj was wrong about 13:15 for sure.

RD, you said before that those 800s were not METERS, but that post has disappeared. can you remind me what unit you were running during that infamous workout? thanks.
