Long story short, I get pain in my L-knee when running (and while pushing the 'big' gear on the bike). The pain can be triggered if I do single-leg squats on the bad knee. Previous P/T's have told me to do this as rehab, and imho, this made the problem worse ~18-20 months ago. Of course, I'm stupid and thought more was better.
Two questions:
- What can get damaged from single-leg squat overuse, is there anything I can get done surgically to get it fixed?
- I went back to physio 3 times since the original (very minor, in retrospec) problem. All say to do exercises, but they irritate the joint. If I stop, and don't do any **nothing**, within 2 weeks I have some amount of relief, but the second I try to run or cycle, it comes back.
What should I do?
