better than nothing and it will at least be equal to maintenance running so if you can start putting more in you wont be starting from scratch
I would "kill" to be able to run 30 min/day... but I digress..
What do you mean you don't have time to do more!? Stop watching TV when you get home, or browse the net less.

Absolutely! It's much better than doing nothing. When people talk about "moderate exercise" being good for your health, it's the 30-minute sessions. 30-minute running is the activity are what those studies where they list the hundreds of things that improve with exercise refer to. You'll be doing yourself a huge favor, even if you won't be as fit as the 100mpw guys.
I run 45 min/day at 5:30, and no longer race. At my last physical, the doc was elated at this level despite my lamenting that it was half what I did five years ago.
If nothing else, it means you can drink beer without getting fat.
I agree fully. 30 minutes at a good clip will keep one in good shape and keep the pounds off. Im in that same situation....use to run 80-90 mpw and was sore all over. I now run 30-35 minutes a day at 6:50s pr mile and feel good. The beer and the grill take precedent.
30 minutes a day is perfect.
It's much better than nothing. Few things are more stupid than not running at all just because you can't handle 100 mpw. Running 3x/week is better than nothing. Walking is better than nothing. Sitting in front of the internet and talking about what a great runner you used to be or could be... not so much.
It's a long way better than nothing. Go for it and be grateful you can do that much. I have similar time constraints.
perfect for one may not be perfect for another.
'5:30' means AM or PM or your pace, please?
