I'm a heavier runner (210lbs) and have always ran on the road for convenience. I run on the left side towards oncoming traffic like most do.
I've been experiencing a lot of backache and tightness on my right side (hamstring and lower-mid back).
Is it likely that the slope of the road could cause me to be having the back trouble and tight hamstring by altering how I run in compensating the slope angle?
Does a heel lift make sense in an attempt to counter the slope or isn't the slope enough to cause trouble? If so, I'd put it in the left foot?
Last question, what is the purpose of a heel lift? Why not just put a whole shoe insert in that acts as a heel lift?
Thanks
