ah, okay. i don't think that "stiff form" is anything bad- hell, it probably transfers energy from the arms to the legs better than a weak core that turns a lot- but i guess i see what you mean about "excessive lateral leg movement." are you referring to his knee drive inward, approaching the midline of his body, rather than straight up from the hip? i think most runners do that to some extent and, what's more, it is only really pronounced when Webb is tying up at the end of a race.
so, while i agree that he's not going to win any "smoothness" competitions anytime soon, i disagree that his form is anything but efficient.
