Glavine can only reach a barrier (300 wins), not break it. I doubt A-Rod or Barry will hit the two home runs they would need to "break" their respective barriers.
Thank you for your pedantic correction.
Arod only needs 1 for 500 (the important number, i don't know who celebrates over home run 501)
A-Rod's hit 3 fly balls to right, each progressively closer and closer to the wall... another at bat or 2 and I say he's got it
I say Glavine and the Mets get it done, and Bonds not tonight.
I agree but he is not breaking any barrier. He is reaching it. I'm just being a jackass to the original poster, sorry OP. It's like if Bannister had run 4:00.00 he could not say he broke the 4 minute barrier.
If any of them do it.....
SO WHAT!!!!!!!!
I am a fan of the plan in which ARod waits for Bonds to hit his HR(s), and then is given a soft toss to make something arguably more newsworthy on the same day. Not sure if I heard this theory here. Of course, it's just a pipe dream, it will certainly never happen.
