Someone could have fillibustered in the Senate but there would have been a movement for Closure which would have passed. (That might be fourth grade knowledge for you, I apologize if you havent made it there yet.) It was Congress that sent your boys, my friends, to Iraq
It is CLOTURE, you ass.
Also, there has been no declaration of war from Congress, that was our Pres who sent the troops. I believe your to stupid to realize that war has only been declared 5 times by Congress, the rest, including this one, is a police action. You really don't know gov't, do you????
GO Learn how to read, because I said nothing about Congress signing a declaration of war... but Congress did pass bills that required aggressive action to be taken against Iraq, they approved the funding, and without planning the course of action, the American public asked for a conflict in Iraq Congress gave it to them... Iraq techincal (and physically) never was war, but the point is the President is responsible for the executive branch, which has done a good job over the past 8 years, Congress is the bastard that's sent this nation to war in attempt at the John Kerry special, "screw moral principles, what do the polls say..." So your gripe is not with Bush it's with the Congressmen YOU elected, hopefully when I'm the "old man" and it's your kids I'll be a little more merciful, and elect Congressmen with principles instead of the screwball leeches with no backbone YOU put there...
