He´s setting all these pr´s. Is now the time to shut it down and rest until Worlds ?

I think he said he's gonna do 2 more 800s, a 1500 and a mile. That seems smart, get some speed and stay race sharp. I might drop the 1500 or the mile, don't do both but it's still not too bad.
What do you mean by "rest"? Resting in terms of recovery works in the short term as in taking a day easy after a hard workout or race. If it was a particularly hard effort, you might need to take it easy for 2-3 days.
I am unsure about what you could possibly mean in suggesting that he "rest until Worlds".
Please enlighten us.
He should stop running for a week or two and have a few donuts. He's so thin, it can't be healthy!
I'm going to go to Dunkin' Donuts now and grab a box.
Forget Webb, what about Solinski!!!!?

He means stop racing, not training. What are you, an idiot?
The Sol Man is a plowhorse. He will keep turning over new (PR) turf as long as he is allowed to race, with about every other effort seeming to be kind of flat. Reminds me of Steve Scott that way.

good question. it probably wouldn't be a bad idea, however i think that having a few solid races between now and worlds--though it might not be the _best_ thing trainingwise--would be good for his confidence and mental toughness. though i was never on his level i always felt better going into a major competition having rattled off a few great performances earlier in the season. as he matures in the next few years it might make more sense to get a qualifier in early and shut it down for the major competitions. it all goes to his state of mind as he is admittedly prone to mentally defeat himself. i wouldn't want to see him shut it down racewise and end up wondering if it was 'still in the tank' come worlds having not performed at this level in some time.
Webb should do whatever his coach tells him. Good God people, he just smashed his PR and is racking up big wins. I think he's getting good advice from somewhere, and it sure isn't here.
this is an issue of semantics-- would it help you if the question were phrased "if you were raczko would you have alan shut it down until worlds"?
He should definately ask letsrun to do a poll and then do whatever the poll says.
