For the most part, tattoos outside of the military would be very regrettable. Whenever I see a guy with a tattoo I think low class right away. Whenever I see a girl with a tattoo I think slut. easy as that

Yeah, look how trashy it is...
http://www.cinema.cz/image/20050608215638_bigd-scan395-AngelinaJolie-23.jpgYou obviously have much lower standards than I (and most men)have, because that my friend is very trashy looking.
That tat does nothing but take away from her sexiness. Any man that thinks it adds to it is low class himself.

Tattoos are a great way to memorialize a lost loved one or display art. It's a form of self expression. Never get a tatoo that someone may already have.
I have a friend who had a word tattooed in small writing on the inside of her wrist (a watch covers it) in memory of a friend of hers who died. I don't think she'll ever regret it.
I got 2 tattoo's on when I was 18. I'm now only 21 and I hate that I desecrated my body like that, I am getting them removed by laser!
I think tattoos are cool. They're a form of expression that when they mean things about a person can not only look good but justify the decision. If you have to get one mull the idea over for a few months to make sure it's really what you want and not some flash in the pan. The longer you wait for an idea the better it ussually turns out. Mine took 3 months to narrow down what I really wanted. (something for my grandfather) They're also body decoration much like jewelry or pircings and people have been tattooing practically forever. People who think they're low class or stupid need to broaden their perspectives. And people who get stupid tattoos only make it easier for those people.
(cue someone to start an arguemnet by pointing out spelling mistakes, gramatical errors, ect.)
Some tattoos are pretty. I've seen many pretty tattoos in the lower spinal area of young (and not-so-young) women.
But pretty or not, I don't think the current tat fad would be there if it weren't for recent advancements in tattoo removal. It's easy to take a risk and get a funny picture stuck under your skin if you know you can get rid of it for a couple thousand.
In general, older people believe that tatoos are ugly and pointless. Younger people don't share this viewpoint. So either the old folks are uptight or the young people are stupid. You decide.
Pssst, think about how those tatoos will look on a flabby 50 year old body. Remember, they're permanent.
if you are studying the possibilities of removing a tattoo before you get it, dont get one. you would not be a good candidate for tattooing. if i were a tattoo artist i would not give someone a tattoo that came in inquiring about it's removal. thats what tats are all about; expressing yourself in concrete.
Well, Allen Iverson has them all over and he is real classy.

Haha you wrote easy as that too. Niiiice. A tattoo in commemoration of a death would be okay also in my eyes the more I think of it. My posts generally aren't racist unless I'm clearly trolling, but the white part is correct. I don't know who you are so I'm not going to pass internet judgement.
Look real "cool' when your 75 and wrinkled!

The anti-tattoo folks are always so funny - the classic argument of "you should be original and NOT have a tattoo" clearly evidences the irony of their train of thought. Being "non-conformist" does not mean doing or not doing something everyone else does or does not do...it's doing WHAT YOU WANT regardless of what others do or do not do. So the people who like to argue that they are non-conforming because they would never get a tattoo are displaying true irony in their logic, as they are letting the actions of a group dictate what they do in their life.
Either get a tattoo because you really want one, or DO NOT get a tattoo because you don't care for them. Why does anyone care what's cool and what's not?
As for them looking like crap when you are and old man/woman? So? Who the hell wants to see your a$$ naked then anyways? Newsflash - YOUR WHOLE BODY is going to look like $hit then, genius.
I'm cooler than you because I not only have a tattoo but I ride a Harley as well! I mean hardly anyone is cool enough for both of those.
Pssst. It's no longer cool when everybody does it.
So if i get a barbwire tattoo that means Im tough. Great who gives a shit. Or webb with his japanese tattoo. He is telling the world IM deep and philosophocal. I think the only tattoos worth getting are ornate and actuially make you body look better. No one in the US gets them many other cultures do tho. My point is when you get a typical American tattoo its like walking up to someone and bragging about whatever you want to brag about. Olympic rings would just be a way of bragging to others that you went to the olympics. Or barbwire is a way of bragging that you are tough. A flag representing you heritage is just a way of saying i think its cool to appreciate heritage and so Im cool. Your tattoo is NOT actually helping you celebrate your heritage esp if its on your back.

Kilgore doesn't like tats?? I was on the fence on this issue, but now I am DEFINITELY getting one. Thanks for making up my mind on this issue. I might even get one that says "KILGORE SUCKS!" I would never regret that one.
