I agree...but alot has to go right for him...for starters staying healthy. He has such a sweet swing he could go on for years if he can come to play. Theres never been a doubt that griffey might have been the greatest ever, sadly he has gone through a lot...starting with that amazing catch that broke his wrist.
Man, I'm as big a Griffey Jr. fan as there is, but we've got to be realistic. He'll be 38 in November, and as of today he's still 170 HRs behind Hank Aaron. With as injury prone as he has been the last 6 years, I can't see how anyone could think he could still get past 700 HRs even. He'll likely finish with 600 something and a rightful place in the Hall of Fame. But, those injuries and all those games missed did him in as far as getting a career HR record. If he ends up being some freak of nature who can keep the injuries at bay and play until he's 44, then maybe, but I don't think that's happening.
