Neutral, cushiony, pretty durable and a great bang for the buck compared to Nike. If you have no stability problems, get'em.
worst shoe I've ever worn, hard as hell, loads of rough seams, avoid. Reebok Premier road light 4 is a much beter shoe.
The Radius 7 comes out July 1st... a bit slimmer and with the new MoGo midsole, which is a bit lighter and more cushioned. Radius is a solid shoe. Great shoe at under $90.
I agree, shoes are worthless
Radius 5 was a great shoe for me.
Radius 6 sucks, too clunky.
I heard the new Radius is a cross between the Radius and the Adrenaline and will be a bit lighter. I have not seen one yet.
Ha ha... recommending a Reebok! Heck, recommend the Pegasus first... Reebok belongs in Wal-Mart.
Try the Defyance ..it is a great shoe from Brooks.neutral and very cushy..
Before you knock it try it, Pegasus '07 is one of the worst shoes I have run in, it is almost 14 oz, hard as hell, runs like a brick. Reebok may not have its marketing right and may not be 'the coolest' shoe to wear but they have several very good shoes and the paris is a good simple no frills racer. Brooks Glycerin is a good shoe, I'm not knocking the rand, I'm knocking the shoe, which is shit.
radius is my primary training shoe. I have not used the radius 7.
Brooks Radius is my training shoe and I love them. I\'m probably on my 15th pair (going back several editions). I\'m a pretty high mileage runner and they hold up well - great shoe if you are neutral or supinate. But of course everyone is different, so just try them on.
The Air Peg was GREAT circa 1989...it bites the big one now. NIKE tends to discontinue or butcher good shoes.
I got a pair and they fit great but the ride was terrible. There are better shoes like the wave rider or the landrath from asics. Didn't like road lite 4 from Reebok but did like the Ultra from reebok, very nice cushion. I did hear that the new radius will be better.
Throughout several editions of Radius, I've always been able to put them on out of the box, and feel like they've been broken in. With high arches and a roomy toe box, they're just a comfortable shoe for my foot type. Radius Rocks.
i'm on my second pair, and i won't go as far to say i love them, but i like them. i think they are a little clunky, but you can't really beat the price. i've also tried the following shoes in the past year and the radius were the only ones i like...
nike pegasus - way too clunky, felt like there was no cushioning whatsoever. gave me back problems.
asics gel nimbus - nice and cushioned, but the toe box was too short (from top to bottom), and it felt like my toes were squished. those shoes gave me knee problems, but they felt great otherwise.
considering that the price tag on the gel nimbus is around $120, i'd rather get the $85 shoes personally. also, i've had a hard time finding neutral shoes in wide sizes (EE). the best shoes i've run in are the adidas supernova cushion, but they stopped making those in wide sizes, so i think i'm going with the radius from here on out.
if you guys like the Radius,,,wait til you try the Defyance...I am wear testing them right now and it will be a spring shoe I believe,,,it is great ,right out of the box...
Anyone tried Vitruvians? I have seen a few threads on them. I see that they are only $30 or $60.
The Brooks Defyance which releases 4/1/2008 is going to be the shoe to beat. The neutral version of the long lived Brooks Adrenaline. No too soft and not too firm, but jusssssssssst right!
