I was at a local track meet the other day and something similar happened. Except I wasn't doing a workout. I was actually racing.
I was in lane 1 during a 400m race. And about the time I got 250m into it there is a group of 3 girls and their dog in lanes 1 and 2. I yelled "TRACK!" and they scrambled. But not fast enough to keep me from having to slow down a little to avoid a crash. I couldn't believe how dense they were to just be standing on the track during a race. Granted this was just a low-key club meet at a public facility, but geez.
And during the 100m spectators kept having to yell at people to get off the track. I mean how could they not realize there have been multiple 100m heats going on for several minutes?
They really need to teach track etiquette in school or something. It's a really annoying problem.
