I notice you can pay the internet bill just fine.

I don't remember if I was the highest the last time this subject came up, but about 4300-4400 miles in Converse ABM400s (lasted almost a full year in my highest training mileage year of about 5000 miles), and about 3800-3900 miles in Adidas Web Techs.
If a shoe works for me, I wear it until the uppers are in tatters. This usually means 1000+ miles.
I've been running in a pair of Nike Free 4.0s this year (probably over 1000 miles since ski season ended). The midsoles feel perfect, but the uppers are about gone.
Low mileage shoes for me: The Adidas Cubato+ made my knees hurt. I dumped them in the recycle bin at the local running shop the other day after only 20-30 miles. I have a pair of Nike Vaporflys with similar low mileage that I might toss. They don't make anything hurt, but I can't run in them. They don't mesh with my stride - makes me feel clunky. There have been other shoes where the uppers have torn within the first few runs: Nike Air Tupu, one of the 2 pairs of Nike Free Trails that I used last year (the other was good for 1000+ miles), Inov-8 Mudclaw...
And friend of mine, let's just call him "Backhead" in order to protect his identity, runs on a pair of Puma H Streets that have 94,378 miles and counting on them. Disclaimer - he hasn't used them in over 6 weeks as he is recovering from surgery to repair ruptured achilles tendons in both legs.
HAHA very good observation, I didn't catch that one and I'm kind of upset I missed it...
