He "resigned" because 60% of his athletes were on academic probation this past year and he had failed to raise enrollment by recruiting student athletes who wanted to pay 100 grand to come to a shitty four year school.
I think Thomas was smart to get away from this once proud program. What a train wreck that school has become.
If he continues to stay in coaching, I hope Thomas gets an opportunity to coach at a program where he can have the support that is needed to field a competitive program.
I would not be suprised to see him resurface in the upstate south carolina area.
