Man, that's a tough one. Surprising, to many people, I really like the "I Disappear" tune that was part of the MI-2 soundtrack.
Historically speaking, you've got Creeping Death, Blackened, The Small Hours and Disposable Heroes as probably my faves.

"Nothing Else Matters"
(anesthesia)-Pulling Teeth
Bass Solo, Take 1
Same answer as the Air Supply question - the one that just ended.
Probably go with Damage Inc., but that is a tough one. Dyers Eve, Creeping Death, Master of Puppets, and Blackened are all right up there.
Oh, another good one is "The Thing That Should Not Be."
Incidentally, I hate all the people who say they sold out with the Black Album (and beyond). I came onboard for the Justice album, and am probably more partial to that. I like Master and Ride the Lightening, and not Kill Em All that much ... too 'something' for me. I also like all the albums since, but not quite as much as Justice. I don't ever think a band should be criticized for stretching their horizons.
Oh yeah, I'm almost 42.
Hero of the Day.
"Ride The Lightning"
I caught Metallica in the mid '80's at a Day on The Green show in Oakland. They had two albums out at the time, and still had Cliff Burton on base. They were the 2nd or 3rd band that day (Scorpians were the top act), but stole the show...

Master of Puppets by far. I loved how they used that song in Old School. I also like that "Tick-Tock" song on the new album.
I saw Old School last night, having that one in there was awesome.
The Unnamed Feeling is the best song of the St Anger, but I saw For Whom the Bell Tolls-the version on S&M-is my favorite ever.
Battery
Is there one...
It's a 3-way tie for me:
"Fade to Black"
"Eye of the Beholder"
"The Thing That Should Not Be"
"one"....the intro to that song is amazing....another good one is "king nothing"
OK, it may be cliched, and maybe overplayed, but...."One" is the Stairway to Heaven of Metal for me (Stairway is # 1 classic or hard rock song). "One" & "War Pigs" are my 2 fav metal songs of all time.

One

That's a good analysis ... although One isn't one of my very favorites, a comparison to Stairway to Heaven rings true to me.
Freight Train (aka Green Leaf Clover)
