I stated that its a fact that you can be the best team in the country and be in the worst conference, and that you didnt need criteria when not talking about a specific example and only a theoretical example. That would be correct yes?

Your friend is a moron. You can't argue that you can't be the best team and still be in the worst conference. You are right in that it is a theorectical fact. He probably just doesn't understand theory or logic, or how you can work the word fact into it. That would be like saying whoever wins the NBA finals or whoever wins the World Series is from the best league by default. You'd have to be a less intelligent then a retarded buffalo to think that.
