What is an appropriate tip for a standard haircut?
Also my cut is not very complicated (clippers all around) and never takes them more than a few minutes if that makes any difference.

Cut your own. Seriously, I just started doing it a couple months ago and now I trim it ever couple weeks. It's already paid for itself and nobody notices any different. In fact, the first time I did it, I told my wife I had a new barber - she said "I like it better - where'd you go?"
I spent $20 at Wal Mart for a trimmer primarily becaus the one I used to cut my son's hair had worn out. It has different attachments and the directions tell you how to taper. I do it in front of the mirror and my wife finishes up the back.
Best thing in the workd if you're truly a cheapskate. (no I don't have a bowl cut)

Usually $3 on a $14 haircut. They seem genuinely pleased to get it, so I must not be stiffing them too badly.
