Florida State leads every NCAA prediction poll by a large margin; however, going into the final day the point spread is less than five. LSU and Florida both have about the same amount of athletes left to compete on the last day- can LSU create the biggest upset in the 2007 NCAA Championships? It would be a much bigger upset than Pickler losing the Hept or Galen losing the 10000m!
Lets look at it:
LSU can make up big points in the 400H with Phillips and no FSU guys
Neither has an 800 finalist
FSU has Chambers and LSU has Williams. Chambers is probably the better choice but he may not win.
FSU has the two fastest 200m men. That would end the meet right there. LSU cannot get any points here.
Neither has a 1500m runner in the finals
LSU can score some points in the 4x4 without any gain from FSU.
Bottom line is that if Chambers and Dix don't get hurt it would be unlikely for LSU to beat FSU.
