I feel my ankles, particularly my left ankle, collapse when I run, and if I look down, I think I can seem them collapse.
Is that bad for my knee?, because every few months I seem to have pain in my left knee (inner/medial side, below the knee cap), light-moderate anterior knee pain, nothing too worrisome.
I'm wondering if that's due to pronation since I have flat'ish feet and flexible ankles. The weird thing is that my shoe wear doesn't indicate that I am a huge pronator, everything looks neutral and I wear Brooks Burn. I used to wear the Axiom, but I found that the medial posting in the heel got in the way.
Is this because my I shouldn't be running this way, about 2 years ago, when I first got a coach me "made" me focus on running form... I've had some success since, but I've been sidelined every couple of months with some sort of issue on my L-leg (shin splits, ITBS, and for the past year, very minor knee pain). All in all, I'm not able to run the mileage I want to run.
Can anyone relate?
PS. I'm not sure I understand what pronation means anyways.
