of course she is young and pretty especially compared with average 26 year old white women you see in every day life , like the local Walmart. Can somebody explain to me WHY she is famous?

As near as I can tell she is not very smart, very slutty, not too loyal to her "friends" and never really held a real job in her entire life (a little modeling and commercials do not count).

I truly don't get it.

She is what I would tell my daughters NOT to be.

I think part of the problem with our society is we have lost all sense of shame. A little "Catholic guilt" would do this woman a lot of good.

If they committed a crime I would have no remorse for them as they purposefully and knowingly broke the law.

P.S. for Malmo - I understood leitmotiv before learning schadenfreude. I think it's more commonly understood. Or at least easier to guess. But then again, I was a music theory dude...

Anyway, I don't think the judge was necessarily trying to make an example of her. I mean, she arrived late and continually failed to produce the evidence the court was waiting on...good way to piss a judge off.

schadenfreude? If people who see themselves 'above' all, or in this case, 'above law' are razed then I wouldn't classify it as bad luck or 'misfortune'. If you blow up a balloon enough it will pop. Paris getting out yesterday was a pretty good example of the fallacy of equality that we capitalists have made. It is a outworking of Marxist theory in the truest sense. People live oblivious to their own pawn-ship, while those with the power moves travel in any direction they want. And House Arrest is a sentence, never an option for someone who realizes prison disagrees with them.
