Does it anger you that your hockey teams keep losing to American teams? I mean I feel for you because all you have is hockey, and Americans don't even care about the sport. Canada hasn't won a Stanley Cup since 93 & that was Montreal.

Hockey is a business dude. If "our" team wins the Stanley cup, why should we "citizens" be happy, if anything it's free advertisement for the team to get people in the stands next year.
Anyone that associates civic/national pride with a commercial sport is fooling themselves good.

Read above & notice I wrote Canadians keep losing to American teams, not players. General society doesn't know where the players are from or do they care, it's all about the city they represent.
yes it does anger me, more deeply than you could ever imagine. Does it frustrate you that the two best players in the Nba are from Germany and Canada? But at least we have curling.

No, it doesn't anger me. Without as many of your American teams as there are today the league wouldn't have as much exposure as it does. Less exposure would mean less dollars for our Canadian boys to earn while playing a game. And all the time our boys are making money for playing a game, I'm all for it.

So the mercenaries hired by Anahiem beat those hired by Ottawa. Surely, then, this is a true measure of civic and national quality.
Did it bother you when the Toronto Blue Jays won two consecutive World Series in baseball, something you claim as a "national sport"?
As a "Merican", perhaps you should be upset by your inability to win anything at an international level at basketball, or baseball, sports you claim as your own.
The NHL is business and nothing more. The Ducks had more Canadian players on their roster than Ottawa. National pride is better satisfied using that sort of equation.

thanks, we need those canadians to keep earning the incomes they are. the canadian dollar is now worth 95cents to the US dollar-and climbing! That means canadians will soon be richer than americans. Its only a matter of weeks until Canada surpasses the American dollar thanks to your fantiastic leader. Another indication that the USA is on the down fall and american society is on the brink of collapsing.
The stanley cup? Who cares, its an exclusively canadian sport anyway. What league is america the best at in which other countries participate? Nothing.
