I thoght the Pre family sued and stopped the abuse of his name by Nike. Is it still called the Prefontaine Classic ? A better name would be the Mao Tse Tung IAAF Oregon Grand Prix (since Nike is owed by the PRC).

I like the mile predictions, but matching the WR for bekele? I highly doubt he's in that type of shape right now (then again, I could be wrong)

200 - X-Man, Spearmon, Powell, Wariner, Crawford

800 - Robinson, Borzakovskiy, Reed

Mile - Kipchirchir, Lagat, Komen, Webb

2 Mile - Sihine, Bekele, Mottram, Tegenkamp, Tadesse

The starting lists linked to are incomplete, no? Where are all the other events like the steeple, etc?

Myers PR for the mile is 3:53, which he ran in London almost three years ago. After Lagat and Webb he has the fastest mile PR of any active miler.

seleshi sihine never gets respect. he does get injured and has not run alot in the past 2 years.. but he got a silver in the 10 and 5k @ the last world champs.

I think he has a chance at being in the top 3.

Ritz is too hard to predict. He's spent much of the last year marathon-training, was slightly injured recently, then ran a very good road 10K. He also ran 13:15 last outdoors and has more training going into this season. Somewhere between 8:12-8:25?? Who knows? We don't even know if the track season is a priority or if he's gearing towards the marathon trials.

Fam & Goucher, the same thing. All over the board.

Teg will in the least challenge the AR, with Bekele in the race.
