I've read your posts and appreciate your analyses on different topics; I wondered if you might be willing to share some insight on a problem my daughter has with her ankles: She's a sophomore in college, and ever since cheerleading in H.S. has taken on back/spinal problems - BUT, the biggest obstacle to her running has been her ankles. She's 5'2, 104lbs., has had an orthopedic surgeon do the x-rays, exam, and he recommended "ice" since the x-rays showed nothing pathological. Her biggest help thus far has been a chiropractor at school. Her pain has been severe in the front and the outside of both ankles, with some pain in the achilles area. (She's running in the Mizuno Wave Rider.) We just left the track, and after 5 laps she was in pain - but, I had her jogging on the grass in her barefeet, and she didn't have a problem with that. Strange. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
