oh yes there is
Duncan has been the best player in the NBA over the past 10 years
the only reason he wasnt talked about for MVP is the "pete sampras" factor..
hes just kinda boring, not flashy and gets no hype...
if you lined up all the NBA players and picked them playground style..id pick Duncan first...
and maybe Nash, KG, Kobe, ahead of LBJ
Kg is a notch below Lebron. He doesn't have the shooting ability inside or body mass to impose his will on the other team that Lebron has.
On the other hand, I feel sorry for KG that he has to play with wrong way Ricky Davis. It took Lebron about 3 minutes to realize that guy was a LOSER and have the cavs get rid of him.
Tim Duncan is a great post player, but that is all he is. He doesn't have the ability that Lebron has to control every aspect of the game. I would still have him on the first team.
Getting no hype is probably a benefit for the big bank shot. While every talk show spent 2 months talking about Lebrons 68% free throw shooting (which has been 75% the last 2 months)Timmie clanks it up at 63% and is notorious for getting the yips even more in playoff games.
I will give Timmie D credit. He realized long ago that he has no shooting skill so he has taken advantage of the big glass board where you can throw a brick at and have it fall through the bucket.
Right now, my team would be Yao at center, Timmie at power forward, Lebron at small forward, Kobe at two guard, and Nash at point guard. Nowitzki, Stoudamire, Wade, Bosh, and Garnett can sub in.
