Not too sure on the shin splints but it will help in your recovery from hard work out days.
i've seen a lot of theories on shin splints and a lot of
people with shin splints that no-one can understand as well so i take "theories" pretty lightly nowadays.
There is an article in those by Frank Horwill on the
Serpentine RC sight which if i remembercorrectly links
SS to an imbalance in the Calcium/Potassium pump due to
over high Potassium intakes from Colas and tomatos products and stuff. You may well like to look it up
anyway.
I saw some-one after Lydiard methods on another topic, they might like to look up Horwill's marathon training
advice which is what i used and ran about 2.20 from.
Phosphorous also comes into the argument, i'd forgotten that bit, good job i looked up the link.
