Knew someone who ran a 43:28 and she wanted to know what that would convert to as a 5k. the course was urban (city streets) and some rolling hills. nothing crazy.

Around 21:00, give or take a little.
21:44, give or take a few seconds.
~20:40
Given the same course difficulty and weather, I'll go with 20:31.
You are better off running 5Ks and finding out for yourself.
Still, this is a very basic lazy man's conversion rate for doubling any distance (i.e., 1500-3000, 5 Miles-10 Miles, half-marathon/marathon, etc.). So take it with the requisite grain of salt.
Take your 5K time, double it.
For example:
16:00-flat 5K
doubled =
32:00-flat 10K
Use the number of minutes in the 5K and 10K combined and double them, referencing them as seconds for the conversion equation.
16 minutes doubled = 32 seconds.
32 minutes doubled = 64 seconds.
:: Add 96 seconds to the doubled total.
16:00 5K // (16 + 32)2 = 96 32:00 + 96 seconds = 33:36 10K.
13:00/26:00 // (13 + 26)2 = 78 13:00 5K ~ 26:00 + 78 seconds = 13:00 5K =+- 27:18 10K.
21:00/42:00 // (21 + 42)2 = 126 21:00 5K ~ 42:00 + 126 seconds = 21:00 5K =+- 44:06 10K.
Like I said, take 'em with a grain of salt. The McMillan calculator, IAAF Web site or Daniels is more precise. Like I'd mentioend, you'd be better off to just run a 5K or three.
McMillan says 20:55.
whatever man you are on the money!
I have to agree whatever man that shit's kind of ingenius.
The answer? Too slow. Tell her to train more.
